IFR Hold Exercise

This exercise is very hard! Move the OBS to identify where the VOR is located -
then proceed with the rest of the question.

Situation:

You are on course 010

You are cleared to a Non-Standard Hold inbound on the VOR 160 radial.

 

Question:

Click the arrows to rotate the OBS to your correct inbound track in the hold.

What is your course to intercept the 160 VOR radial at 70 degrees.  
Intercept will occur right at the VOR so, this will be the direct course to the VOR.

Which way will you turn for intercept?    Left Right

Assume you will intercept the inbound track at the VOR - What type of entry to the hold will be required?

Which way will you turn after crossing the VOR to enter the hold?    Left Right
